You can probably avoid his by creating a NEW Samsung account, or somehow edit the Samsung account information (I did not explore this possibility). I suspect that Samsung stores the Onedrive account information in the Samsung user profile somewhere.
I subsequently tried to reconnect to the SAME Samsung account (it is deleted from the device but not from the Samsung cloud), and the Onedrive problem came back.
The next time I started the Onedrive app it prompted me for the account and password and connected to my Premium Onedrive. I tried the proposed fix, and removing the Samsung account immediately solved the Onedrive issue. I uninstalled Onedrive several times, but after reinstallation it automatically connected to the old gmail account, which I was unable to disconnect from Onedrive (grayed out). The OneDrive Clean Up Job runs, and the OneDrive is marked for deletion. The account deletion is synchronized to SharePoint. I subsequently purchased a subscription using an address, but was unable to connect to it. The OneDrive deletion process works as follows: A user is deleted from the Microsoft 365 admin center or is removed through Active Directory synchronization. In my situation, I initially had a Onedrive account on my phone, created using a gmail address as a Personnal address.
